Basketball is a team sport where two teams play on an rectangular court and try to score as many baskets as possible in an 3.048 meters high hoop. 10 players have to be on the court, 5 from each team. Basketball was invented in 1891 by a Canadian-American gym teacher  James Naismith in Springfield, Massachusetts, United States, basketball has evolved to become one of the world's most popular and widely viewed sports. The National Basketball Association (NBA) is the most known professional basketball league in the world in terms of popularity, salaries, talent, and level of competition. A year later (1892) , women basketball was invented. The most popular basketball players in the world are michael jordan, Stephan Curry , Lebron james and many more.Basketball can be played at 2 years old and above.
